This book should legit be required reading in schools and for all adults. Jonelle’s life experiences mixed with her education/career/experience as a psychotherapist paints such a different view of empathy than I’ve ever heard and how we actually HAVE to stay in our own shoes. I’m learning so much and I know I’ll be re-reading this for years to come. She goes into the archetypes of empathy…and let me tell you… I probably need to slow my roll on being the “cheerleader” I can’t wait to start using these practices to be a better listener and friend.
